At Champion Kennels, we limit the number of kennels available to provide personal attention to your pets. Please review our policies and services for dogs and cats below. Champion Kennels in Sterling, MA, can be reached at 978-422-3100.

General Boarding Policies

  • 10-Day Cancellation Required during peak times (weekends, school vacations, holidays, summer). If not canceled in time, for a 4 day or less stay,  a one day boarding fee per dog will be charged. For 5 boarding days or more,  $100 per dog will be charged.
  • NO REFUNDS for early pick-ups during peak times for boarding and grooming.
  • Shot Records Required (dogs and cats). A $10 fee will apply if we need to call your veterinarian for records.
  • For the safety of your pet, we have a 10 day wait period for boarding and day board if your dog has been in any area that multiple dogs have been:
  • doggie daycare
  • dog show or performance event
  • dog park
  • another grooming salon
  • all stores that allow pets
  • vet offices


Overnight Care for Dogs

We offer comfortable, secure, and caring boarding for dogs. Our staff is on-site 24/7 to ensure your pet’s safety and well-being.

Dog Amenities:

  • Private indoor/outdoor rooms. 
  • Heated floors.
  • Fan cooling so that dogs can have access to outdoors all day & night.  (No AC)
  • Two meals a day provided by owner.
  • Food must be pre-bagged per meal (2 per day) with your dog's name on each. A $5 fee per day applies if not adequately bagged.
  • If you prefer, Champion will feed your dog our Nutri Source lamb and rice kibble.   Inquire about the cost for your dog.
  • Fresh water available at all times.
  • Mid-day and bedtime snacks.
  • Smiles, love, and pats throughout the day.
  • Add-ons for playtime walks, and more.
  • 15-20 MINUTE OUTDOOR PLAY (1 DOG): $8
  • 15-20 OUTDOOR PLAY (2 DOGS): $12
  • INDOOR CUDDLE TIME: $6
  • BEDTIME STORY: $6
  • 2 BATHROOM WALKS & 1 OUTDOOR PLAY: $20
  • MARROW BONES FOR CHEWING (AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE)
  • 10-15 MINUTE BRUSHING SESSION: $15
  • NAIL TRIMMING: $10
  • ENRICHMENT GAMES: $6
  • PUP CUPS UPON REQUEST $4


Vaccination Requirements for Dogs:

  • DHLPP BOOSTER
  • RABIES
  • KENNEL COUGH (10-DAY WAIT AFTER VACCINATION, VALID FOR ONE YEAR)
  • TITERS ACCEPTED

Dog Boarding Rates:

  • 1 Dog: $55
  • 2 Dogs: $100 (separate or together)
  • 3 Dogs: $145 (1 or 2 runs)
  • 4 Dogs: $175 (2, 3, or 4 runs)
  • Special needs pets: $5-10 extra per day
  • Administering medication: $5-10 per dose

If you're worried about leaving your dog in a kennel, try Priority Care. Your dog will stay upfront with us and receive extra attention.

Day Boarding (DOGS ONLY)

Don’t leave your dog home alone—bring them for day boarding at Champion Kennels! Your dog will have a private room with a bed, fresh water, and love, treats, and playtime with our staff.

Day Boarding Rates:

  • 1 Dog: $25 (Priority available for $35)
  • 2 Dogs: $40 (separate or together, Priority available for $60)

Before and After-Hours Pick-Up:

By appointment only. When you drop off your dog, please inform the office of your pick-up time, and we will arrange it. If your pick-up time changes, please call or text the kennel. Without an appointment, a 10-15 minute wait will occur.
